Common-Sense Conservationists

The Upper Green River Alliance is based in Pinedale, Wyoming, and its staff has lived in the Upper Green River Valley for 30 years.  We are inspired by and give tribute to present and historic conservationists of the Wind River country: people like Luna Leopold, Carroll Noble, Sally Mackey and Tom Bell.  Our friends and neighbors both young and old continue to encourage us, give heart to our mission, and support to our work.  We strive for common-sense conservation in a landscape rapidly changing through intensely-developed natural gas fields.  In both developed areas, and the vast, scenic landscapes of the Upper Green, we will continue to protect our air, water, wildlife and wide open spaces, preserving both the quality of our lives and those of future generations.
